PRE
SEASON TRAINING 04/05
Happy New Year
!! I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and fun Xmas & New Years and
we are all looking forward to the coming season. 2005 is a big year
for the Norwood Football Club as it not only looks to consolidate
its position is Division 2 but to become a force for the first time
at this level. Preparation and a big pre-season is paramount in
taking this step and a good group of players have already taken
on the responsibility and put in hard work prior to Xmas. From the
8th of November to the 15th of December we conducted 17 training
sessions which included specialised running, gym and plenty of ball
work. For the group of players including a good number of under
18's & new recruits who did the bulk of these sessions i thank
you. This has shown your dedication & commitment to improving
both yourself & the Norwood Football Club. You have given yourself
an edge over others already and it was great to see huge improvement
in guys fitness and ball skills in just that short time, so i am
sure those who have done the work to date can see how it works.
Training recommences
on Monday 17th of January at the Norwood Oval at 6.15pm sharp and
we will be continuing training on Monday, Wednesday & Friday
nights. Hope to see you all there and look forward to working hard
with you all to take us where we want to go. Lets hope we can get
off to a good start, get this vital edge on other clubs and even
more players show a commitment to themselves, their team mates and
the club and get to training.
Reminder : Make sure
players are wearing and bringing the correct attire to training.
These include, runners, boots (when it becomes allowed), running
shorts (no board shorts etc), bathers and towel.
Good luck to everyone
and if any player has anything they wish to discuss please do not
hesitate to come and talk to me.
