A SAD PASSING

November 2004, we lost one of our most treasured Life Members and hardest workers in Stuart Dickson. The funeral was held in Lilydale and was attended by over 300 people, many of them Norwood faces. Well done to all from Norwood who attended, wearing their club colours with pride, a special mention to the Colts players that actually donned their football jumpers, they looked terrific.

Stuart, along with his sister Julie decided to be buried in his original Norwood jumper, a true testament to his love and devotion to Norwood for over 30 years.

The emotional but uplifting funeral was followed by the wake at the Norwood social rooms where again over 300 people gathered to remember Stuart and share some stories. Congratulation to all involved in setting up a successful day for the Dickson family.

Stu “everyone’s a winner” Dickson will be missed by all at the Norwood Football Club.
