NORSEMAN PAST PLAYERS AND SUPPORTERS SET TO EXPAND

Welcome to pre season 2005. We are hoping to get off to an early start this season with the drive for membership well under way before the season commences. Following on from the success of the Norsemen last year, the social room refurbishment, tables, chairs and cutlery upgrade, the installation of two television sets and overhead projector, the voluntary work and donations for these projects were greatly appreciated, with the thoughts of many more projects on the drawing board the group will continue to strive to achieve the goal of making the Norwood social and player rooms even better.

The Social functions held by the Norsemen last year were a great success and very enjoyable, the memorable function being the Thursday night with guest speaker Darren Berry and a quiet achiever for the night Ray Bright, we will expand on these functions this year. There are many new and exciting concepts likely for the coming season and we look forward to having as many people and guests as possible involved.

We look forward to further growth in 2005 our aim being to increase Norsemen membership. At the moment our numbers consists of a committed group of past players and supporters, the talk last year was how do I become a part of the Norsemen?
This year everyone will have the opportunity. Our aim is to generate new supporter membership not only from within the club but also outside the club with the corporate sector being another area we will be looking at.

All we can ask is for you to be a part of a special group that does care about the future success of our great club.

Further details regarding Norsemen membership will be released over the coming weeks so we will keep you posted.

Regards to all for the coming year and may it be a successful one for all.
